One Of The Top US Cycling Cities Boasts 100+ Miles Of Bike Lanes

If you’re an avid cyclist or just love the feeling of the wind in your hair as you ride around, knowing the cities with great biking infrastructure may be of interest. Apartment rental website Walk Score has released a list of the most bikeable cities in the US. The list was compiled by considering factors like bike lanes, hills, destinations, road connectivity, and bike commuting mode share. Minneapolis was ranked as one of the most bikeable cities in America, receiving high marks for its flat terrain and extensive cycling infrastructure. Minneapolis boasts 98 miles of bike lanes and 16 miles of protected bikeways. "Cycle along the Great River Road and over the famous Stone Arch Bridge, grab some friends and tackle the 63-mile Luce Line State Trail, or commute to work via the Midtown Greenway," explained Walk Score in its report. Also included in the list were Portland, Oregon, and San Francisco; Chicago; and Denver.
